Old-school death metal, you'll likely find Brutality mentioned somewhere in the acknowledgments list. These guys came out of Tampa, Florida in the 1980s alongside bands as big as Death, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Deicide, Atheist, and many others. Of course, all of those bands have their own unique sound that can only be attributed to them, and Brutality was no different, arguably on the same musical and artistic level as bands like Morbid Angel or Death, etc.
