BAEST Danse Macabre CD

BAEST are a highly promising new member of the Century Media family playing death metal inspired by the likes of Bloodbath, Dismember, classic Entombed, Bolt Thrower and 90's Morbid Angel! Their debut album “Danse Macabre” offers a furious storm of Boss HM-2 pedal abusing buzzsaw guitars, vicious blasts, deep growls and infectious hooks! Recorded with Andreas Linnemann at Output Lydstudio and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Obey Mastering (Firespawn, Decapitated, Lik), tracks like the monstrous ‘Hecatomb', the diverse title track with its acoustic intro and storming blasts, the epic lead melodies of ‘Atra Mors', the moody instrumental ‘Ritual', which is followed by the devastating ‘Vortex' prove to be absolutely consistent, extremely focused (de)compositions! Formed in 2015, BAEST (the Danish word for ‘beast') played over 40 shows within the quintet's first year of existence, quickly turning heads due to their windmill headbanging skills and ferocious frontman Simon Olsen.
