Volbeat's musical style can be described as a combination of Hard Hitting Metallic Rock'n'Roll with a touch of the sixties melodic tunes and Elvis. Their debut album, "The Strength/The Sound/The Songs", put the band on the map immediately with rave reviews almost everywhere. Their live performances (Roskilde Festival, Rock Hard Festival etc. as well as the many club shows) built the band a loyal and constantly growing army of followers.
Guitarist Thomas Bredahl replaced Franz "Hellboss" in 2007. He does not play on this album, although he is credited in the booklet.
This album is again produced by Jacob Hansen and has 11 original songs, all in the signature Volbeat sound. Very Metal, very Hard Rocking and full of power and energy. They have succeeded in transforming the magic they have on stage onto a record. Volbeat are on the verge of their breakthrough in the Metal scene, and "Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" is all what people are expecting it to be!
The album debuted at #1 on the Danish Albums chart in 2007, making it Volbeat's first album to do so.
